1. Who we are
Pew Pew (“Pew Pew”, “we”, “us”) operates the Pew Pew food ordering and delivery app and this website. We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy.
If you have any question about this policy or about how your information is handled, contact us at support@pewpew-site.vercel.app.
2. What we collect
We collect only what we need to take your order, deliver it, and keep the app working.
| Category | What this includes | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Account basics | Your name, email address, phone number, and your login credentials. | To create and secure your account, confirm orders, and contact you about a delivery. |
| Addresses & location | Delivery addresses you save, and your device location while you are using the app. | To show restaurants that deliver to you, and to route the courier to your door. |
| Orders & payments | What you ordered, when, from which restaurant, the amount charged, and a payment reference from our payment processor. | To process and deliver your order, handle refunds, and show your order history. |
| Device & analytics | Device identifiers, device model and operating system, app version, crash reports, and how you use the app. | To diagnose crashes, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve the app. |
What we do not collect
We do not store your full payment card number or card security code — those go directly to our payment processor. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising by third parties.
3. How we use it
We use the information above to:
- create your account and sign you in;
- show you restaurants and menus available at your address;
- take payment for an order and issue refunds where they are due;
- pass your order and delivery details to the restaurant and the courier;
- send you order status updates and receipts;
- respond to your support requests;
- detect and prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents;
- fix crashes and improve the app; and
- meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Where the law in your country requires a legal basis, we rely on performing our contract with you (taking and delivering your order), our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention and improving the app), your consent (device location and optional notifications), and compliance with legal obligations (tax and accounting records).
4. Location data
The app asks for permission before it uses your device location. If you grant it, we use your location to find nearby restaurants and to help the courier reach you. If you decline, you can still use the app by entering a delivery address manually.
You can change or withdraw location permission at any time in your device settings (iOS: Settings › Privacy & Security › Location Services; Android: Settings › Location › App permissions). Withdrawing permission does not affect location data we already used to complete a past order.
6. Payments
Payments are handled by a third-party payment processor. Your card details are submitted to that processor and are not stored on our servers. We keep only a payment reference, the amount, the currency, the date, and the last four digits of the card so that you can recognise the transaction and so we can process refunds and chargebacks.
7. How long we keep it
| Data | Kept for |
|---|---|
| Account profile | While your account is open, then deleted within 30 days of a deletion request. |
| Saved addresses | Until you delete them, or your account is deleted. |
| Device location | Used at the time of the order; not retained as a separate location history. |
| Order and payment records | Retained after account deletion where tax and accounting law requires it, then deleted. |
| Crash and analytics data | Retained in aggregated or de-identified form, which is no longer linked to you. |
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it;
- have inaccurate information corrected;
- have your information deleted;
- ask us to restrict or object to certain processing;
- receive your information in a portable, machine-readable format;
- withdraw a consent you previously gave, such as location or notifications; and
- complain to your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these, email support@pewpew-site.vercel.app. We respond within 30 days. We will never charge you for making a request, and we will not treat you differently for having made one.
9. Deleting your data
You can delete your account and personal data at any time, either from inside the app or by sending us a request. The full instructions, what gets deleted, what we are required to keep, and how long it takes are set out on our data deletion page.
10. Security
We protect your information with encryption in transit, access controls that limit who on our side can see personal data, and regular review of our systems. Payment card data is handled by our payment processor rather than by us.
No system is perfectly secure. Please use a strong, unique password and tell us immediately at support@pewpew-site.vercel.app if you think someone else has access to your account.
11. Children
Pew Pew is not directed at children and is not intended for anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. International transfers
Your information may be processed in a country other than your own, because our service providers operate internationally. Where information leaves your country, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses or an equivalent legal mechanism, to keep it protected to the standard described in this policy.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app changes. When we do, we will update the “last updated” date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects your rights, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
